Hi guys n' gals.

My lovely GF went to the LFS this morning to get me 8 harlequins to start off my new planted aquarium. She did indeed return with them, but also another 8 fish.

I cannot get a decent photo, although I have been trying for 30 mins! It has a very small silver body (about 2cm nose to tip of tail), no noticeable markings or other colours. However, it's eyes are striking. A deep black eye, with a kind of half-moon shape flourecent blue (under lighting) above it's eye, but it looks almost attached to the eye.

I didn't research them as I only wanted the harlequins for now to start the aquarium.

I've been looking everywhere to find them here and elsewhere, but either I've missed it, or it isn't easy to find!

Please help.

Harry

It might be some type of tetra. Ask her what she got, and if she doesn't know, then go t the LFS and look around until you see a fish that looks like the one you have and then look at the name tag.

Sounds like a lamp eye, these are basically a killi type of fish.
