A couple of other possibilities are xinguensis, [URL="http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/speci...?species_id=347"]http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/speci...?species_id=347[/URL] or leopardus, [URL="http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/image.php?image_id=752"]http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/image.php?image_id=752[/URL] . I'm not quite happy with either one being a good enough match but they are close and you may see something about them live in your tank that I can't.

As jollysue said, no need for more than one thread. All the pics could be in the same message or at least in the same thread.

I'm with OldMan47. On second look the dorsal is not right for leucomelas and the xinguensis is much closer. Although the eye mask in one pic doesn't seem right. Are these all the same species or are they a mix of similar species, joe28? Can you also say the size of the fish, male and female?

It would be much more convenient if you could put all the pics in this one thread. It is difficult to compare with so many threads.

Hi, It won't let me put them all on one cause it only give you 100k space per thread, also I think there are different variates in there.

Ah yes. I fell into that as well. If you upload your images to a photo sharing service like photobucket.com or flickr.com (both are free) then you can simply include an image link to your photos. That way you can have many more images in one post as the images do not take up disk space on TFF.

So far from your last pics, they all appear to be the same species. Because of the mask, I would have to rule out the leopardus and the xinguensis. But the dorsal still looks a bit off for the C. leucomelas. I have been told, though, that the C. leucomelas has many variations within the species.

So that's the best I can do at this moment.

Here is a link to PlanetCatfish catelogue thumnails. look through them and see if you see something that might fit the bill, then we can have another look.

Right now it appears to be a "your guess is as good as mine." There are members that are much better at this than me. But I think your pics will need to be much clearer.

Looking at the images I think the fish are C. ambiacus, this is a species that is quite variable and goes through pattern changes as it matures.
