Hi Guys,
I have a 90 UK gallon tank with various fish, including 5 clown loaches.
This evening I noticed that 4 of them showed various levels of ICH, ranging from single spots to 6 or so.
I have raised the temperature to 82 degrees and have treated the tank with HALF the recommended dose of King British White Spot W3 treatment (malachite green and quinine I seem to recall).
I used half dosage as I know the clowns have very sensitive skin.

Have I done the right thing or will the medication harm my loaches?

My other fish include:
Hoplo cats x2
Bala sharks x2
Red tailed black shark x1
Silver Dollars x4
Black ghost knife x1
Pictus cats x2
Angels x4

Any advice would be gratefully received....

Thanks

Seems good to me! Just be sure to treat it for at least 14 days.

I use Interpet Anti Whitespot plus at a full dose with my clown loaches so it might be something to keep in mind.

Good Luck :)

Hi, yes I think you are doing the right thing. WS3 works at half dose for me.

Let us know how it goes.

Guys,
Thanks for the help.
Have just checked the fish tonight and they are all clear - I am so relieved.
Will do one more treatment of SW3 tomorrow night and then put the temperature back down to normal.

Thanks again for your advice.
