my molly just had some fry.
right now they are all in the net breeder
about 5 out of maybe 15 are swimming and the others are just sitting there on their "stomachs"
i think the swmimmers are the oldest of the main tank survivors.
so are the other 10 dead or is this normal?
i already put crushed flakes in but im not sure if they ate any.

yea it is very normal i just had fry born on thursday and they all sat on the bottom until i moved them so they should be good in a about 12 hours or a day.

ok cool
yeah there is about 20/30 fry now and most are swimming like nothing.
i did have a problem with them escaping but i just had to pull the net above water and its not a problem anymore.
there are some that are laying really low in the net but then when i move the net they get up and swim for a couple seconds but then lay down again....
so they are all in the net just hangin out.

They may be stragglers. Almost very time I get mollies that can't lift their bellies off of the ground, they die early on in their lives. This new batch of mollies I have right now all started swimming up near the surface of the water within a few hours. (Except for one - it took a couple days for him to get his belly off of the ground.)

Good luck,
