As I posted in Chit-Chat, I have to get rid of my dwarf puffers because they are picking on one of my gouramis. His tail is extremely tattered, I just noticed today. So is the back of his (eek) anal? fin. Since this seemed to happen basically overnight, or within less than 2 days, I'm only assuming it's due to the puffers. I don't think it could be fin rot or anything of that sort, since it happened so quickly. Or am I wrong? And all the other fish seem to be fine, and my water levels are fine - ammonia, nitrites are at zero and nitrates are within the safe zone. So assuming he just needs healing, what should I do for him? I'm planning on adding corys to my tank so I don't want to add salt, but I guess there's some sort of salt bath I could do - what's involved in that? Should I just let him be and give him some time to regenerate his poor tail? Or is there something I should do to speed the process. Thank y'all so much!
