Hi,

I've asked around and searched multiple things in google as i didn't want to create a post just asking for this, but please help as i can't find it!

An engineer sent to my house by a big company(so unable to track the person) advised me of a really good place to go to but i can't remember the name.

I live in nottingham. He directed me from nottingham to near east midlands airport, then around the back past the big DHL depot, then on a long road past Breedon-On-The-Hill and into an area that was classed as Market Harborough, leciester.

It was here that he said was a decent place to buy tropical fish. Now i do know of many around my area but would be greatfull if someone could please tell me the name of this one as i can't find it just by searching for tropical fish in market harborough etc.

Many thanks!

Market Harborough is a heck of a long way from East Mids!

There is a Maidenhead Aquatics near Stapleton on the south side of Leicester but it would be a fair old way to Harborough still.

Yea thats not the one :(

Maybe i got market harborough in my head from somewhere else?

If we go from EMA, around the back past the DHL depot, then down a long road past breedon-on-the-hill.............

What about any places near there? i remember he said it's classed as leicester but it's more nottingham.....?

im near market harb and the only ones (well known) are

A5 aquatics on the A5 (naturally)
Watling Street, Nuneaton, Leicestershire CV116BG

maidenhead in Northampton
Wyevale Garden Centre, Newport Pagnell Rd
Wootton Northampton
Northants NN4 6HP

and maidenhead in Nottingham
Wheatcroft Garden Centre, Landmere Lane
Edwalton Nottingham
Nottinghamshire NG12 4DE

hope that helps somewhat

Wharf Aquatics, 'nuff said.

But on a more helpful note, Wharfs the place that springs to mind when thinking of Nottingham. Its won numerous awards from PFK over the years and well worth a trip even if you don't want to buy anything.

None ring a bell really :S maybe i have completely forgotten the name, lol. but those directions above i do remember. He did say it was quite a drive along the road after breedon on the hill.

Thanks for all the replies.

I may take a drive out to the Wharf place in a month when my old tank is ready again to take some fish :) Says it's only 24 mins away up the M1 and off at J28.

Thanks again.

wharf aquatics and bardills in stapleford are good. wharfs showtanks are amazing :)

would'nt bother with maidenhead.

Just looked at the website for Wharf, looks amazing! i can't wait to go now, lol.

From my own experience of bardills i didn't rate it much. I live in stapleford and this is 1 of my 2 nearest. I've found Trowel garden centre (maidenhead) to be the better of the 2.

Wharf rocks i tell you-got all my malawis from there-really helpful staff who know their stuff.

You mention Market Harborough, you sure your not on about Market Bosworth? Both roughly equal distances from Leicester, and its certainly a little more toward Nottingham than Market Harborough is? No idea what LFS are in that general direction as i'm from Coventry myself and i tend to venture nearer Birmingham for LFS when i go.
