Hi can somebody help. I am having a nightmare getting my tank to be nice and clear. No matter what I do the water is always cloudy ! - I have a small tank approx 24" long x 15" deep, with a Fluval 3 Plus filter. There are only about 7 x cichlids and 1 x plekko in there - gravel & no plants. I have tried doing regular water changes, which always look OK to start with, next morning - cloudy ??? - I am now getting to the end of my tether !! - any suggestions will be gratefully received ! - Thanks

few questions, when did you start it?
how much and how often, and what do you feed them?
did you test for ammonia?

normally when you start a tank you get cloudy water which is the beneficial bactieria bloomin.

either that or you are over feeding your fish making your water nasty, or your cycle isn't working yet and your fish are pollutin the water.

from your tank specs, it looks like you are over crowded. coupled with not enough livebacteria from an unstable cycle, you might be expecting deads really soon.

my suggestion is to go buy some additives like Cycle, Prime or any other bacteria based solutions
