Baby discus are terrible for just falling over and dying, really you should have kept 6 or more to give them a comfort zone and feel secure.

I've known adult discus who have just decided to stop eating and just hang in the water for months before finally dying, no matter what I did (live food, beefheart nothing would tempt them) they just never recovered.

they were in a sholl of 7 now 6 :( poor little guy id been concerned about him for a few days but man he went fast but thanks it helps to have someone else confirm wot i kno and suspected hes my first discus loss

Soz you only mention buying 3 above, I've lost a few before now, but half of it was down to new tank syndrome. Now my tank is over a year old I've not had any problems and my 2 inch babies are growing nicely and feeding well.

Awe sorry to hear of the loss. Those Discus sure are beautiful fish! :rip:

:fish: :fish:

sorry to hear about the fry,
I think most discus keepers that have manged to raise the fry, do find there is a certain percentage that just do not grow. I find that fry rolling over generally happens after about 6 weeks. How old were they? good luck with the next batch.

thanks for the concern its alwasys hard to hav fish loss especially discus the little guy was 7 weeks old bless him ,now ive got a problem with gill flukes i cant get any prazi here and am treating with formalin i hate using meds they muck everything up hope the treatment goes ok 1st treatment today and ill do a water change at midnight (8 hours after treatment)the things we do for our beloved fishes
