YEAH I CHANGED 9 OUT OF MY 26 GALLON TANK, (THE WATER) ANFD MY NITRITE LEVELS ARE STILL THE SAME?! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? THANKS

How long has the tank been set up for?

it is about 3 weeks to one month.,.... however, i have added cycle and only slowly added fish

Did you allow your tank to complete its cycle before adding fish?It sounds like your tank is still going through the second phase of the cycling period. All you can do is keep doing small water changes every day and adding cycle untill the readings go down.

every day???? that seems a little extreme....i i do about 30% each week and add cycle eahc week

Do a 10% change every day and add cycle after each water change to help the bacteria build up,exposure to nitrite can have serious effects on the long term health of your fish and until the tank has finished cycling the levels will continue to go up every day.

I had the same problem on my first tank, and I followed similar advise that CFC is giving, changing 10% daily and adding the bottled bacteria stuff with each bucket of dechlorinated tap water, although I did a fishless cycle using flaked food.

I should also have said to only feed the fish a small ammount every other day :)
