Hello,

well basically two of my buddies died this morning... and I have no clue why. They were fine yesterday....

I did notice though couple black dots on them? but it didn't effect them in any way.

I know it's hard to tell what it could be with out a picture, so I have included two pictures.

One of it shows one fish with black dots on him, and the other one has this green fungus** on her. Again they are very active, but I do see them gasping at the top couple times.

Thanks in advance. Oh yea. the one with the fungus on it, had a lot of babies too. but I think ate them..:(

Hello, thanks for the reply.. what do you mean tank cycled.. sorry im a noob:( and stats? The tank has been set up for about a year now. Very very nice setup you have btw! Props!

How much do you feed? It could be something as simple as a fungus or parasite infection. Any new additions to the tank recently. Did you do anything odd or different lately?

What Daveyg1969 means by stats is what are the levels of your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and PH also temperature is useful. Without these readings it is hard to diagnose almost any problem or disease. If you do not already have a test kit i suggest getting one they can be helpful in a quicker diagnosis of your problem but if you don't many LFS's test your water for free. Also the term cycle that he used is refering to the bacteria and wether or not all the the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels have had enough time to spike and come down to a safes level or not but judging by the fact that your tank has been set up for a year then it should be cycled by now.

wow.. yea thanks for the info! I only have tested the PH level before. and right now It's blue. AS for all the other ones I am going to go buy a testing kit.

I didn't do anything different to the tank recently, but before about 8 months ago I had bought a few plants, and I guess there was a Snail on there. That one snail became over 200 more. Everytime i would see one i would take it out and put them in a jar. Now I probably got it down to 1 or 2.

But the snails did lower my PH level though... but I don't know...

Thanks for the info again, i will go buy a test kit and let you gusy know!
P.s I envy all your tanks!
