Hello....I HAVE TO GET RID OF THESE DARN SNAILS!!!

The banjo will be fine for you and it will not eat any of your fish, they will eat tiny fry but thats it,i dont know what size snail they eat,to be honest ive never actually seen my two eat anything but theyre both as fat as lard and the tank they are in gets no snails.

If you can get them get at least two, youll see more of them if kept in a small group, theres even the slim chance of breeding.I think once you get some youll grow to love them, there isnt many fish that you can pick up with your hand and stroke is there?

As for being scared of catfish why? I can understand being scared of snakeheads (mine has bit me enough times) or pirahnas and other fish with big teeth but almost all aquarium cats are harmless to humans, think of them like new newborn babies, theyre as ugly as sin but you luv them anyway

You're horrible CatFish  ;)

Well.....I guess I'm one of the rare few that think newborns are cute!!

Well, I suppose I could just dispose of all my large snails somehow and the TWO (yikes  ) Banjo's will take care of the little guys that keep hatching. I will most definitley get TWO.......EEeeeeeeewwww!!!! Okay, okay....I will try and love them..... :alien: :p

Thanks,

I am going to go check to see if you posted those photos of yours in the Members Picts area. You BETTER HAVE ;) B) !!!!

The Banjo is the most harmless fish I have ever seen, our sword tails give me more grief than the banjo (they nip my arm hair when I clean the tank  ). My wife thought the banjo was dead one day (Ok a couple of times) so made me pick him up, the only way I knew he was still alive is his fin closed when the air touched him. When I put him back into the tank he didn't even try to swim, just glided nose down to the bottom and landed with his tail in a plant branch and his nose in the sand, stayed that way for 4 hours, then I looked over again he was gone (buried in the sand). Since I put him into a tank with all sand bottom I only see him when I uncover him with the vac during cleanings

And thats why there is no pictures of mine posted, because they are so hard to get a photo of  There a bit like refuse collecters (or how they should be  ?) they sneak about in the night and early morning cleaning up all the mess and then disapeer out of sight for the day time.
Does anyone think it would be cruel to pic one up and take a photo of it in my hand? I think thats the only way im gonna get a pic of my ones.

I don't know if it would be "cruel" CatFish, but it may shake'em up a tad nothing more. I know that darn sight: www.fish2U.com have TONS of photos there where they pick them up and out of the water and take photos. I don't really like that place too much, but I suppose if I couldn't find a certain fish ANYWHERE else you may be able to get one there.

I think you should try it personally!!!!! :)

Yeah do it. Banjos are kewl catfish. I used to have one. I only saw it eat once, and it was when i put a cube of frozen bloodworms in the tank. He took the whole cube in his mouth. They have large mouths. I think i had him with a few guppies and such when i first started fish keeping. He never bothered the fish that would obviously fit in his mouth.
