hello everyone
I can only get to use that line about 3 times a year as it rains the rest of the time!
Have got into keeping tropical fish for about 3 months after years spent killing goldfish through sheer ignorance
I know this forum will stop me making the same mistakes with my tropical fish .In fact Im just going into forum now to look for advice(swordtail with mouth fungus?)

Haha.........Hello from sunny Southern Ireland.......i know what u mean about the rain :D

Welcome to the forum

Its a great forum, only here a while myself but lurked for quite a while beforehand, anyway since ive been here ive learnt absolutly loads about all sorts of fish from marine to tropical, loads of experts here but dont feel intimidated, they in my experience have all been very helpful

So welcome aboard

hi red-devil
from a little town called Maghera halfways between Belfast and Derry

Is that magherafelt? I used to hail from fermanagh and laterly belfast, but now i'm the other side of the water.

hi William
Im about 9 miles up the road from Magherfelt on the Derry side.Visit Femanagh regularly in my job--big miles but big expenses :D

Hi weaver,

I am too enjoying the weather at the moment although I watched UTV tonight and guess what, it isn't going to last :D

I hope you stick around as there isn't that many of us from N Ireland about.

I find this to be the friendliest places around and almost everyone is very helpful (even with silly questions I used to post when I first started out).

I hope you enjoy your time here and look forward to seeing some posts in the future (hopefully not in the emergency section).

PS,

I found the pinned topics very useful also.

cheers John
Cant complain although back to work tomorrow :/
Seems like a really friendly site. Some of the other sites Ive been in are very cliquey (if theres such a word)

I havn't came across any of that here so I think your safe.

By the way I'm just up the road from you in Derry, where do you go for your fish and eqpt etc?

Small world
I usually go to a shop called MAGS just outside Magherafelt. Its a one man operation and he is really really good although a bit scatterbrained. Really looks after his fish and gives good advice. Was up in that Grosvenor Aquatics in Belfast at the weekend for a look round. Its some spot.I actually am based in Derry and wander over to Jollyes now and again. They look after the fish properly there too.
Basically if Ipass anywhere that sells fish Im in there like a shot!

Used to be a big fan of grovesnors when i was there. Best in belfast I reckon. That was a couple of years ago.

That was my first time there William and I was really impressed. Spotless and the staff really seemed to know what they were talking about.
