Hello and welcome to the forum
NICE PICS!!!!

Keith.

Hello. My name is Elsa. I am new to this forum. I have a 20 gallon tank that has been set up for almost 2 years. I have a mix of fish (not sure what all of them are). I know that I have 1 angelfish, 1 guppy, 2 neon somethings (one orange/red, one yellow), 2 of the half blue half yellow fish featured at the top of this web page, 2 dwarf catfish like fish and 3 tetras (one orange, two grey...one grey has the long flowing fins). I recenlty tried to add two dwarf gourami. One has died and the other is swimming strangely. I intervene very little with the tank other than to do weekly 25% water and monthly (approx.) filter changes. The water is clear, pH levels stable and amonia is ok. The fish I have had for a long time act normal and eat well.

After the first gourami passed, I started looking at the rest of the fish more closely...they all act fine. The flowy finned grey tetra appeared to have some sort of injury on one fin...white puffy stuff just on that fin. The orange tetra looks to have what appears to be fin rot. Everyone else appears very healthy. So, yesterday I added Fungus Clear. Today my water is blue (expected I guess)and the gourami seems to be perking up a bit...but still swimming strangely.

I have tried to look up how long I should leave the carbon out of the filter. I understand that it is to be left out for the "treatment period"...but I am not entirely sure how long that actually is. I am also curious to know if I should do a water change if the amonia gets too high. It is fine now. Also...if I do a water change...do I add more medicine? I appreciate any help that anyone can provide.

I thought you were selling most of your tanks, Dean?
