Heeeeelllllpppppp!!!  snails!!!

Ok, so if I have it right, I put pee-pee on my steak, tonic water on my aquarium plants, and where should I stick the salt?!? :sly:  :what:

Well Dragon, I couldn't do it! The plant I got I'd have been there for days scrubbing it and all the bristles would have fallen off (can't remember the name of it).

So I got some pee-pee. Nah, I got the Clear Water. Here's how I figure it, if they sell it to add directly to a tank, it's got to be diluted enough not to annihilate fish.

But the guy at the other forum suggested a ratio of Clear Water to gallon of water that is about 4X stronger for a plant dip than the bottle recommends for the intended use.

Soaked the plants yesterday. One turned decidedly brown, one is a bit limp, the other seems happy. These last two are smallish sword like plants, one red the other green. The first looks sort of like an evergreen (though now it is brown).

I'll report back on death, no death. There WERE snails, so I'll also report on whether I get an outbreak.

Oh ... I rinsed in regular water for as long as I had soaked in the pink stuff. Then, after rinsing, I let it soak in regular water with some Had-A-Snail thrown in for good measure (If figure, them plants most definitely "had a snail"

Just when you think all is well...

Woke up this morning and a female sword was stuck to the filter intake   She was in the peak of health when I turned the tank light off the night before. No spots, no sluggish, no nutin to indicate she would be an ex-fish by morning.

All the others seem happy though. The plants seem happy. The water is happy (meaning, all measures are ideal). I sure wish my fish would stop dying on me, and so suddenly.
