Hi,

I am looking for some ideas for healthy snacks, whilst I don't have a shortage of healthy snacks, I was just wondering what else there is to try. Thanks in advance.

Currently like ryvita, snack a jacks (these are rice and corn fried cakes), dried fruit (though to be fair you have to eat in moderation owing to sugar content), cereal bars.

Home made popcorn with coconut oil and salt instead of butter. So good. I'm gonna go make some because I made myself hungry

I like to eat just trail mix. With very few m and m’s.

I also like to eat what I call my, “Super protein pack snack”, that is 2 pieces of ham, 2 pieces of turkey, 1 piece of salami, and 4 pieces of round pepperoni. This will give you a TON of protein.

I sometimes eat that for a meal, because I’m sort of a fitness junky, lol. :)

That's all good and all but just protein isnt a healthy meal ;)

Are you telling me that over 8 slabs of honey smoked meat rolled up together with a big glass of water isn’t healthy?

can of tuna in olive oil on rice crackers with char grilled capsicum (pepper).
can of sardines on rice crackers with tomatoe sauce.
apple pikelets.
home made bread with dried fruit.

Ham and a lot of other processed meats have nitrites in them and these have been linked to stomach and intestinal cancers. They also have a lot of salt in so try to minimise the amount you have, or only have them once or twice a month as a treat.

Protein is healthy, but having just that for a meal is not

You are better off making your own snacks so they are fresh and free of chemicals and preservatives. :)

I have a can of tuna for a snack. That is protein. As long as you have other foods throughout the day it's ok to have meat as a meal.

This is what I had as a snack...
A german mash patato dish in a cup... No need to be a chef...
