Haven't Posted On Here For Ages.

blue knuckles are by far the best hermits =] although a tad expensive sometimes...

Yeah, the LFS was selling them for £5 each, I offered them £20 for 5 and they went for it, just hope they live up to their reputation for a love of hair algea  Mind you, even if they don't they do look dead cool.

welcome back. :)

Nice tank and fantastic new additions. Can't find anything like that around here  Have to mail order them.

Good luck on sorting the algae.

Welcome back Johnny - and thanks for your help when I was first setting up last year :good:

You take some gorgeous photos, you got a swanky camera?

How lovely a new little salty is on the way, looking forward to the updates on both the little salty and the tank :good:

Well I think the 'tide has started to turn' on the algea(sorry for the bad pun  ). I've increased the Mg levels to near 1500, which I read softens up the algea and it does seem to work with no ill effects on everything else(yet). I'm also harvesting as much as I can by hand and syphon and have put my fuge on 24/7. The algea does grow back but a bit less(I can see rock here and there!!) The new hermits are doing their best but for them its like trying to clear a forest with a pen knife!!!
I also finally have some blue LED moonlights on the way after meaning to get some for years.

It was fairly 'swanky' in its day Seffie but now I think the 's' has fallen off it
