Have You Seen What The Planties Are Doing?

Hmmmm you should put a few zoa's in it :)

im going to put some kenya tree up the middle later on today when ive sorted the pump and proper lighting
might set up a few different pint glass ones, each with a different coral in :)

I'm sat here ATM looking at a pickle jar, isn't life strange.

The challenge that I'm finding with these tiny tanks is longevity. The pico that I did, the 15ml, will be about a month old at the end of this week and it is going strong. My 4ml is not doing as well, but that system is more tricky. Some of Gill's scapes, Planted's pico king, are long-term scapes that are really cool.

By the way, that edge pico is beautiful, but if I went Marine, I could never go so small. Would want a bigger tank to put in precisely what I wanted.

Pearsondesign, the pico is a good start, but you have to watch for ammonia build up in systems this small. You also have to create water circulation, which is difficult, and I know you're working on it. Adding the cheato seems a good idea to me. If it were me, I would probably remove the starfish and just rely on the teeny critters present in the LR if you were going to try to keep this longterm.

ive actually spent most of the nigt planning a proper design for something im looking to sell :)
ill be making prototype tomorrow and day after and then taking to a manufacturesrs to see if they can do it properly and neatly :)

this is so exciting!
as for the pint glass, its waaaay too small for anything, so ive gone bigger but not too big. big enough to be a sustainable system and not a threat to livestock.
NO FISH ALLOWED in my ones though lol
