when i say i add a little more dechlorinate a mean a little i am saying like a few drops, so i dont think it does make a difference.Also i never did do that when i the rummy noses died so the dechlorinate is not the problem.Also the water surface seems to be covered in something, cant explain it properly.it can be best described as the residue left by oil on water.
