This afternoon I’ve picked up my order of livebearers. Needed some fresh blood as additions for my current populations. In this case some cauliflower swordtails and Xenotoca doadrioi. Unfortunately, the males of the Xenotoca doadrioi were already dead at arrival. They’ll be re-ordered.

Are Xenotoca doadrio the same fish as the San Marcos Redtail Splitfin? Are you getting them wild from Mexico or hobbyist bred?

Yes, they are. Actually, despite of the fact that I've wrote down X.doardioi, I still call them Xenotoca eisini, San Marcos. I'm a kind of old school at many levels. This goes also for scientific names. The ones I've orderd now are not wild caught but captive bred ones.
You know, @emeraldking , you should get some livebearers. I think you'd like them!
I've got to agree with you...

I looked at many of your pics, and... You never show general views of your setup, how your tanks are arranged etc...

I would really like to see that :)
