In the beginning you can also see my tank, its dedicated to my friends on TFF.

What you got it the tank, that is a crazy fish market, shame fish are kept like that in bags, i know its not your fault,
They do have a great selection, just a couple of plecs i see

That was not even a tenth of the real deal, I was busy making sure nobody stamps my feet  . Too bad for the fish . But its not only fish but Birds, Dogs, Hamsters and what not. All struggling for love and space  . Thats a glimpse of the real deal behind developing nation. There is huge disparity between the rich and the poor. Seamen selling fish in bulk just to make a living. You could get ten plecs like those for say Rs.30 nearly half a sterling pound. And people just take fish, enough not to make their tank too crowded. :look:

Think I understand why you end up coming home with them, even the fruit bowl was better than some of those pics!!

I guess nobody has been to a club auction or swap; http://www.gwasoc.org/forum/index.php?/gallery/

The worst I can see is a bit of overcrowding in the bag with some of the larger fish. Done properly it's no big deal at all, though I can see how having the fish hanging at the back of the booth would be a pain from a buying/selling point of view. I guess it's one way of keeping people from walking away with things though.

I'm going to bump this thread and move it over to the Tropical Discussion section. :D

Its not much of a problem, in reality its really well managed wrt to the crowd and everybody poking in to see everyside of the fish

Yes.. I love this kinda fish markets.. If you go there at market closing time you will get lots of half dead fish for free.. As kids We used to go there every saterday and we also manage to save 80% of the fish we bring home.
