I went to my lfs today, to get another Pepper Cory and a few plants, and saw a HUGE Guppy. I looked at the thing for a few minutes and tried to decide if it was actually a Guppy, or was some other kind of fish. It didn't match the pictures of any of the little cards that say what kind of fish are in the tank and it looked an awful lot like a Guppy, other than it's huge size. I decided it must be a Guppy with a severe growth hormone problem. I talked to the guy working there and he said it was indeed a Guppy with a growth hormone problem. He said the breeder it came from said it was the same age as the rest of 'em (whatever age that was). This Guppy was HUGE! S/he must have been four to six inches long and big! If I'd have had my camera with me, I'd have taken a picture. Perhaps I'll go back to do so. If my tank wasn't borderline overstocked now, I'd probably get the Guppy.
I got a little Pepper Cory so my lone Pepper Cory could have a buddy. I wanted a bigger one, but they just had little ones, so that's what I got. Also got two Corkscrew Vallisneria (sp?) plants. Considered getting Java Fern, but they were $6.00 and I don't have that much money to spend on one plant right now.
