I have some guppy fry and I was just wondering when their color starts to show... They're almost three weeks old, and I heard that some begin to show around 2 weeks :p

I had some from a half black female & their colour showed within 2 weeks.
Other fry I had didn't really show colour until about 4 weeks

I have a single survivor from a half-black female in my community tank and its showing black colouring after about 2 weeks (week and a half maybe).
Growing quickly too, and really good at not being eaten, almost too big to be eaten now.

I have a male guppy who is 10 weeks old who has fantastic colour on his tail but his body is still grey, I have guppies born last week who are half black from birth...

A few of mine started with pale black spots around 2 weeks, more got black spots between 3-4 weeks... the early bloomers who started off with the black began to get yellow between 3-4 weeks. Two of them started to get white that turned blue after 6 weeks (they are 2 months old now). BUT... I still have 2 with absolutely no color at all.

Mines did this too. Around 2 weeks old, they get black markings on their tails.

I have 2 older fry at the moment they are about 10 weeks old now, the male has brilliant red tail and dorsal fin but still no body colour, the female is turning blond and has a blue and red tail.

The Fry who are 4/5 weeks old (I can't remember lol) are at various stages. 2 of them are massive, 1 has a white tail with black markings and black markings on the dorsal fin, he is turning yellow. The other has a clear tail with black markings. The other 4 have various black markings but no body colour yet.

The fry who are a few days old have no body colour and no markings yet but they came from my cobra female so I am really excited about them!

I do water changes every day just because I have 3 lots of fry lol and feed the babies at various times a day. What makes them colour up faster?

There isn't much to help them color faster, that is pretty much pre-programmed in their genetics. But a good diet makes for better fish in general.

Full mature color in a guppy often takes well over 4 months although they will have plenty of color well before that.
