Yeah, that's a lot of crappy old fake plants, but at least there are plenty of places to hide. Still haven't decided for sure who the lucky lady will be, but I'm leaning toward the copper-black plakat female I got from the show. I have a female from the Mini spawn I want to breed a CT plakat line from as well, but I think she's too small for this male as of yet . The other female is amazing though; no colour wash of any kind and 8 rays (I think.) The spawn sibling male that came with her is HM, but I don't know about her as I've never taken the time to examine her full spread.
I also put one of the male albimarginata in the CT male's 5 gallon so the other male can be alone with the female... and added some extra IAL extract for good measure

And her brother, as an example of how nice the finnage on these fish really is. He has a little redwash though.

I know you showed me it before, but god that crowntail is just breathtaking. I hope the one I get is even half as beautiful when he gets here. I found out the package arrives Weds around noon. I feel like a kid on the night before Christmas. Weee!

Anyways those are going to be such cute babies! I may have to talk you out of a couple of them when they are grown up.

I know with a daddy like that they are just going to be super super cute babies!

I think you may have to wait till F2 or F3 before you see a large number of crowntail plakats... but with those parents, they will look amazing.

Right you are . I should get nothing but long-finned fish with various degrees of combing from this spawn, in the F2 I'll get everything (plakats, comb plakats, crown plakats, deltas, combtails, crowntails... oh my!!), and in the F3 I'll be able to get all CT plakats, providing I choose the parents carefully

I'm about to put the female in her glass container in the tank and am planning to release her this Friday, woohoo! She's already plump with eggs

Yess, another Synirr spawn! Dang. Those parents are beautiful, totally beautiful! I love the CT boy's finnage, and the girl is just hawt. I like the spawn tank a LOT, it's perfect!! Tons of place to hide, and it's nice and colorful.

Yeah, I can't wait to see what I get too. I would love some coppers and it would be nice to have some fry like Frost. I hope I get a nice sized spawn, then I might (if I have the supplies) be able to give some away. That is if people would want them.

Ahh, I thought it might be a 10, but I wasn't sure because in the pics it looks like a 20. The regular 20 not a 20 long. I was just curious.

CROWNTAILS!!! oooo I love those. I wish my you were my neighbor So i can go see them ...PRETTY. My LFS doesnt have crowntails only VEILTAILS which is a real bummer! I love the styrefoam cup thing very nice. I never knew how to do that one. I just thought u float a cup in there.hehe.
