Grrrrr Plants Off Ebay

On a more positive note; I have used this seller : topical_aquarium_plants, off ebay, in the past, and have been well pleased.

Tropical aquarium plants have a website too, and I've heard generally good things about them and their plants, a few less and acceptable plants but normally replacements have been made.

I note that a couple of other people hadn't got their plants, left a neg' and received a retaliatory one in return. I have contacted them and it turns out he did the same thing with them.
On top if this, he has false contact info which ebay has done nothing about, and breaks ebay regs by listing items he doesn't have.
Locally to me the lfs don't have a good range of plants at all which is why I bought online.
on top of this I'm feeling ill today  (I have ME aswell as my usual problems) and all I want to do is go to bed and stay there.
b****cks just bought 25 plants from him, wish id seen this earlier, ive already threated him with ebay because mine havent arrived in a week if they dont turn up tommorow (he claims they've been in the post since friday) in going to report him, then if there not here by wednesday im going to spam his email address :shifty:

Unless he posted them and got proof of sending (i.e. tracking number etc) then I don't think he can claim compensation from Royal Mail? If he does have proof of postage then he should be able to provide you with the tracking number that you can enter yourself online (www.royalmail.com) and check it was posted.

their feedback seems good too. Nothing bad in the last 6 months. I'll give them a try next time.

if they don't arive and he won't pay up. report him to ebay as a non [performing seller, claim the money back through paypal and give him negative feedback. If everyone who didn't get stuff did this, others would be warned and he would get a warning off ebay if not kicked off or losing his powerseller status. The trouble is, lots of people think "it's not a lot of money" and they don't want the hassle or afraid of getting a negative in return, so the whole system is a waste of time. If I had seen several bad feedback for not getting items or refunds, then I would not have bought off him. He would lose sales and get off ebay, thus being better in the long run. The feedback system only works if people use it and not keep quiet trying to protect their own.

He says he has got a certificate of posting which means nothing as it records only that he posted something on that day and not to whom it was posted and no tracking. When I sell stuff on ebay I send everything by recorded delivery for my own peace of mind aswell as my buyer.certificate of posting is a cop out. He can send 10 items, get 5 C.O.P. and use them to reclaim the money back for the items which don't turn up

I ordered a couple of plants from Nannyspetals and got nothing, have sent an email no response and there is still time to give the negative feedback so I will do, its only about £10.00 so I am not going to go to too much trouble about it.

I'm Sure NannyPetals uses this board, as I have had a few orders from him and have all been perfect. He recognised the palnts i ordered from him on here.

He's always been good when i've ordered.

Hi Guys.
I have ordered from nannypetals three times now and have been quite pleased.
The first was a lotus lily bulb which has just started to sprout, the second was a bunch of dwarf hair grass(large bunch for only about £1.50) and the last order for a Sagittaria and a frilly java fern was ordered only 2 days ago,so haven't received it yet.

I will say that the grass was a little yellow on arrival, but so would I be if I had been in a small box for a couple of days !!

I will continue to buy from him until I have a problem.

Malfie

The certificate of posting i get is the receipt which they write the house number and post code on. However sometimes they just give a receipt, to which he could just write the post code on an old one and claim it's proof of posting.

interesting comments about nannyspetals. I ordered several plants from them - most arrived, although it took a while. One should have ben potted and wasn't and a couple didn't arrive. Have emailed but no response as yet (4 days later). As the plants I did receive were good quality (esp anubias nana) I'll hang on. Have already left +ve feedback for plants received (other than non-pottted - awaiting response first)

my plants arrived this morning, all it took was 1 email threatening him with wanting a refund and reporting him to ebay :/
