ok..I am about at my witt's end.

I have treated the entire tank with Marycn and Pimmafix for 10 days now. When Han got sick and I took him out I noticed some white fuzz on Dee and Sao as well. So I decided to treat the entire tank..just in case.

Everyone else is fine..as is Sao but Dee....she still has the exact same spot of white fuzz on her that she did when I started treatment 10 days ago.

I can't treat her with Marycn again..I have run 2 doses back to back..and it says not to.

I have some Fungus Cure..and I'm gonna try that and some more Pimmafix on just her this time.

Any idea why this hasn't gone away on just her and it did on Sao? It didn't even dimish a little bit either..not one tiny bit.

These are the best pics I can snap of her..as she flit's around like mad anytime you go hear her.

The "white stuff" is circled. That is the only spot of it too...there was never anymore either..just that one spot.

Was this taking place in your long, divided tank?

I have no idea why the others would heal quickly, and not her. Maybe she just has a lower immunity than the rest.

You know what I'm going to ask....ya got any silver?
Also, has she suffered any sort of injury in the past few weeks?

I ask because of this story. About a month and a half ago I had (still have but...) had this little red male who was a bit overexcited and he slipped from my fingers during a water change. Unfortunately I had just emptied the bucket I drain in to, so he fell around 4 feet onto the bottom of the bucket. Splat and whack. Poor kid. That was the equivalent of a person jumping from a 20 story building onto the hard ground.
But he seemed okay, I was surprised. Two weeks go by and I come in the fishroom to find him suddenly covered in fungus...what the heck?! Noooobody else in the fishroom has EVER had fungus, but low and behold, there he was. And it had been awhile since his fall...?
So I gave him everything I have and over the last month he has just declined, but hangs on -_- The fungus is gone but now he's pale and skinny and blotchy and just horrible looking. Doesn't even look like the same fish.
I can only assume he had some sort of internal injury that he just can't recover from and it makes him susceptible to everything else. :dunno:

your betta looks like it has popeye also.
have you tried methylene blue?

It just appears she has pop eye..because I took it from an angle from the top of the water (was having problems #1 getting her to be still long enough that I could get a picture that wasn't *as* fuzzy and #2 so that the flash didn't white her out..for some reason her and Sao (her same colored sister) are THE hardest color to photograph EVER lol). She really doesn't have anything else (that I can tell from visual examination) goingon except thsi one fuzzy spot..

No, Kelly she hasn't had any type damage. I scoop each of them out and put them in beanie boxes during water changes...and nothing has happened to her..except getting netted..and she's had it done a hundred times already prolly.

Yeah they were all in my long divided tank. Somehow (still haven't figured out how yet..prolly never will) Han's ventrals dissapeared...one by one..all at once (one morning they were there..the next one was gone..2 weeks later the other one came up gone) then he developed fin rot and fungus on his pectorals...then he died :(.

I noticed these "fuzzy spots" about 2 days after Han got sick and I started treating the whole tank with M1 and M2...just in case, you know (since 3 were already sick I figured I better not chance the remaining 5 getting sick as well).

I took her out and, like I mentioned, put some fungas cure and some pimmafix in with her in a seperate tank...we'll see how she does. I just can't figure out why it hasn't either grown or shrunk at all in 10 days. You'd think it woudl have done 1 or the other :/ .

I don't have any silver...I had planned on buying a bottle the next time I get paid. I've spent $40+ on M1 and M2 and other med's this payday and I'm tapped out as far as unexpected expenditures are concerned :(.

Hope your little guy makes it..that is a long way for the little guy to have fallen...ouch. Bless his little heart.

i cant remember what it is but i remember reading about it in a cichlid forum acouple months ago(so it maynot be good for a betta) but ites supose to treat everything under the sun an then some. hope your fish makes it.i would prolly cry if my betta died

Well I put her in a tank with no heater, so the temp stays around 77 degrees and put the Pimmafix and Fungas Cure in last nite before I left work...and today the spot "appears" to be smaller. Hopefully this is going to work. She's kind clampy now though..and hanging out near the surface alot..although she goes mad if I go near the tank lol.

No actually I haven't.

I've medicated her so much I was really afraid to do much more to her at this point..you know.

Think I should? :/

well i'd give her a day off of no meds and try 2-3 salt baths over a few hours one day..see how she looks the next day

:-( I came in this morning...to find her dead. And it looked like the fungus had gone almost completely away too...you couldn't even tell where it was Sunday.

The rest of my fish look fine...all happily swimming and twirling about. Poor little Dee. :byebye:
