Gross Water!

I was at my lfs looking at some Bettas and they where in plastic cups which I can understand but they're water was Blue! EWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!
I got absolutely disgusted by it! How are those Bettas still alive!?!?!?!

It's fine, It's a chemical called Methylene Blue which helps reduce levels of ammonia. It is particularly useful for the health of a Betta when kept in the small containers even though they will be cleaned out and given newer water pretty much daily (hopefully). People who specialise in shipping fish often use it when the fish are put in the bags for shipping.

I went into a small aquarium the other day and was horrified because there was a gorgeous VT and he was doubled in two bec ause he was to big for his cup :( i want to buy him but my fiancee' said: no, kell you cant save every betta. wait till you finish your tank.

when i got my last vt Nightlight he had bad water quality and he was so healthy when he was put in my water :)
