Grindal Worms

Well, this is what I did:

Boiled the coconut fiber until it was soaked and soft, squeezed it damp and placed about an inch of it in a sterilte plastic shoe box, place my starter culture on top after it was cool yet damp, and placed crushed oat meal ontop.

Did I do it right or did I mess up? Can anyone help? I've never had Grindals in coconut fiber before.

sounds about right. we use grindal worms with our bettas but have never tried coconut fibre, i hear it works very well. dirt works fine for us as we only use the worms in the growout tanks and any dirt that gets in the tank gets syphoned out on a daily basis anyways.
