Granted, I am a newb

BUT, I can still count. When I got my Danios a week ago, I got 2 Leopard, 2 Zebra and a Giant.

Fast forward to today........

I just was looking at the fish and thought that there appeared to be more Danios in there for some reason. So when they all schooled up, I counted them. 2 Zebra, 1 Giant and 3 Leopard. I ran downstairs and asked my wife if she remembers what I got. She said the same as my receipt.....2 zebra, 2 leopard and the Giant. I remember clear as day taking them out when I put them in the tank....

How long have you had them? It's possible they've laid eggs, and one of the fry survived...

Have you bought any live plants for this tank? Some places have various fish in with their plants...maybe one snuck in....

If you saw them when the put them in the bag was there the same as you though there was for sure. Doubt any babies because there would be a lot more than 1 more but I would stick with loosing your mind.

I've had them a week and a half. Since it's a fairly new tank, I count them regularly (kinda morbid but I want to make sure they're all alive). The only thing added after the Danios were the SD and tetra and they didn't have any Danios in their tank.

btw, no live plants yet.
