Fish Addict
Well my daughter and I went to a lfs to look around and help me get my Betta. I thought she could help choose however it only happened to be that there was only one in the shop. My daughter was so reluctant to come with me I thought oh dear wasted journey but still I decided to take the Betta or Siamese fighter fish? Is there a difference??
Anyway my daughter said that he was pretty and different from the other fish and was happy to carry him home.
Half way home she said 'Oh mum can I have this one' I replied curiously 'why!!'
'This is friendly; I want him to be mine'.
What is it to me, I thought, I'll still see him, look after him, etc and it's the first time any interest has been shown ever. So I said yes.
'What are you going to call him' I asked. 'Friendly of course mum' she answered.
Well I never, I get my first Betta and it's not mine and well it is a good babysitter as all last night it was 'can't it get out that bag yet'. 'I want to see him swimming'
'He needs food mum he's hungry' ' Mum mum come and see this... that.... ooh.... he's cute'. 'Can I have my dinner with him?' ‘Will he like the noise of T.V.?
‘Mum mum He is mine is he not?' ‘He’s hungry'. I explained not too much at first and that we should get into a routine to feed him and he'll settle better.
'No mum he's in the family for keeps now he really likes it' I said let’s play with him get a mirror. ‘Oh can't find one small enough. Mum go buy one'' I said 'no but I'll get one soon. 'It’s okay mum I can use a CD will be the same. 'Oh mum he's so happy'.
She has set her alarm clock to get up and have time for 'Friendly'and can she have breakfast with him and can we move him so she can be with him always.
No doubt I will get photo soon as she puts him on her mobile.
Will life ever be the same???
She has gone OTT so I said' Your mad about fish now that's nice.
'' MUM HE'S NOT JUST ANY FISH HE'S FRIENDLY'.
I sure hope it stays that way.
