I have 3 comets ranging in size from around 3" to 7". I also have a black fish (the ones with the flowing tail and eyes that kinda pop out, I can never remember what type of fish he is). Anyway, up until last week thay were in a 10 gal tank (i know a lot of fish for a 10 gal) but now they are happy in their new 55 gal home. I was wondering if there are any suggestions for other types of fish that may get along o.k. with my big fishes. I live in a place where really exotic types of fish are not readily avaible and I welcome and suggestions.

Thanks

How many times do i have to tell you.. the pet store lady said those big bullies you call pets would eat almost anything you put in there.. and anything they can't fit in their mouth they would pick on.. You should really see these fish.. they're massive!

( LOL I'm her sister.. )

A school of feeder white clouds might be something that could work you could pay 4 dollars and get some 20 odd fish and hey would be slowly eaten by the goldfish then you could go out and buy them again. that or you could get mosquitoe fish (cold water guppy) and at 3 inches fully grown they could doge the mouths of 7 inch goldfish.

Comets & Black Moors (yes, that's what they're called) are coldwater (or at most coolwater) fish, so your options of what to keep with them is very limited.

Certainly not clown loach, but weather loaches would be fine.

White cloud minnows would also be fine in cooler water.. until they're eaten whole.
