But he's perfectly healthy.
It goes against my rescue only policy.
He's gorgeous - a beautiful crown tail.
I've never seen a crowtail at any of the pet stores in the regular betta section.
He's mostly white with spots of some red and blue.
He was flaring like crazy when I was in there.

OOoh somebody stop me.
I want to go get him - he was gourgeous and only 5 bucks.
uugh

Go get him!! He may be healthy now, but if he stays there he won't be healthy for long, so you better so save him before its too late!!

You guys are supposed to be DIScouraging me from getting healthy fishes, aren't you?

Dang man - I've ALWAYS wanted a ct.
OOoOooOoooh.... Hmm.
Maybe I'll stop in there tomorrow just to see if he's still there.
See if they'd mind if i take a photo of him then I could post it and you guys could vote on it. Oh who am I kidding, if I went in and he was still there I know I'd end up buying him.
OOoof.
Man, he was gorgeous...

Go get him!! :hyper:
Just think.....If you didn't buy him then someone else would and he would probably end up with an irresponsable owner and he'll live in one of those tiny tanks for the rest of his life

Besides....I wanna see what he looks like in your tank :p He sounds beautiful.

YOU PEOPLE are all evil. :grr:

You see, i have a slight dilemma with this fish. The 5 gallon tank has natural colored rocks in the bottom.
He is a very light colored fish. If I were to get him, I'd want to get colored rock to go in the bottom to bring out his colors, therefore the 5 dollar crowntail could end up costing me a bundle. NOT that I'm opposed to spending a bundle on a fish (wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last :D ).

Now - for the 5 gallon tank.
If I put a betta in there, I wanna ditch the filter and do gravel vacuums.
Anyone else have a betta in a 5 gallon tank with no filter? I'd assume I could just do gravel vacuums a few times a week and that would constitute my water changes? I wouldn't have to do 100% changes. Or would I?

Oooh, this is all coming together in my head now.
I should rush over and get him tomorrow - I haven't seen a CT in the store in all the months I've been going there....I might miss my opportunity.

Because I think I deserve to buy myself a fish that's healthy for a change. Right? :shifty:

I KNOW YOU WANT HIM DESPERATELY. HAHAHAHAHA GO GET HIM MY DEAR. LOL    DON'T PLAYING GAMES HERE. HAHAHAHAHA
WE ALL LOVE BETTAS ANYWAY. LOL    MAKE SURE POST THE PICTURE OF THAT CROWNTAIL PLEASE.

Yeev - you are so right.
I do want him in the WORST way.
Even worse now that I have a plan in my head for him, and I have a tank for him. (what a major coincidence, eh?)

OH, and... I was telling the gents of the house the other night my story about how I had this great idea to move little Amos into the 5 gallon tank, and it didn't work out, so now I might be bringing this 5 gallon home and need to get fish for it, yadda yadda.

So they're prepared.
There's really no reason not to.

(does anyone else do this obnoxious rationalization every time you buy a fish, or do you just buy it???)

oh YEAH.
ladies and gentlemen, i've been cleared for takeoff.
That betta's mine tomorrow- just got permission.
I'll be taking a VEEEERY early lunch tomorrow.
heh heh heh
I'm super duper excited.

oooooh

I thought you gonna wake up early tomorrow and stand infront of the petstore before it open their door. LOL    LUNCH TIME? Someone might take over from you like last time.LOL

Dang.
I called & called til someone finally answered the phone this morning.
He's already gone. Someone must have gotten him last night.

Oh well, at least I'm clear to get SOMEthing and bring it home.
I don't think Amos is going to make it much longer either, so I may have 2 tanks to fill up soon. Sadly.

I guess I'll just wait now til I find another sicky of another pretty ct.

Well, I'm encourging you.. what're you waiting for!? Go get him before someone who doesn't know anything about bettas buys him, puts him in a tank with another betta and he dies.. hm..
