Sorry to hear about your loss I won't repeat what everyone else has said but you honestly did that right thing by what you have told us. It's not easy but she would have wanted it to end this peacefully.

I've been very depressed since this happened, your kind words have help me greatly.
To help me through this terrible time, I have decided to get another cat.
with this in mind, I have acepted an offer of an Abyssinian kitten.
He will be with me on Sunday 15th
keep your eye out for lots of pics.
I can't put into words how much the members of this forum have helped me,
your support and kind words are just what I needed.
Thank you hardly seems to cover it, you have my utmost gratitude.
So very, very sorry about your loss. Words cannot describe how losing a loved one, your rock, feels. 19 years of life is a big milestone, I'm pleased Gennie lived so long, in most likely the best care around.
Sorry to hear about your Gennie Wolf. We had to make the same decision about our cat Viv a couple of weeks ago so I know how awful you must feel. Everyone on this forum also helped me with their kind words. It's just nice to know that there are people out there who understanding how difficult these times are.
We also got another kitten a short while ago. We called him Oscar. And whilst he will never replace our Vivian, and that was not the reason we got him, he has helped to relieve the sadness and fill the gaping hole that was left by having an animal that gives you unconditional love.
I had to put our 12yr old American Eskimo down last November, and I still can't bring myself to read the Rainbow Bridge thread. I'm glad your getting another cat. Being with my other dog helped me alot.
I knew nothing could replace my dear old dog Gena when she left us at 13, but when Sasha arrived, there was life in the house again. It was just what we'd been missing. Animals are amazing.
