So very, very sorry about your loss. Words cannot describe how losing a loved one, your rock, feels. 19 years of life is a big milestone, I'm pleased Gennie lived so long, in most likely the best care around.

Sorry to hear about your Gennie Wolf. We had to make the same decision about our cat Viv a couple of weeks ago so I know how awful you must feel. Everyone on this forum also helped me with their kind words. It's just nice to know that there are people out there who understanding how difficult these times are.

We also got another kitten a short while ago. We called him Oscar. And whilst he will never replace our Vivian, and that was not the reason we got him, he has helped to relieve the sadness and fill the gaping hole that was left by having an animal that gives you unconditional love.

I hope things are better for you soon :flowers:

Sorry for your loss, Wolf. :(

I had to put our 12yr old American Eskimo down last November, and I still can't bring myself to read the Rainbow Bridge thread. I'm glad your getting another cat. Being with my other dog helped me alot.

You gave Gennie a long, happy life, Wolf. :)

I hope your new baby will comfort you. ((hugs))

I knew nothing could replace my dear old dog Gena when she left us at 13, but when Sasha arrived, there was life in the house again. It was just what we'd been missing. Animals are amazing.
