Good Place For Fry?

well, now there is a problem because the mollys like the big stone fish and owl, they only let the ottos near it if the mollys are around the rocks, but its not a big deal cuz they still seem to prefer the top of the tank.

im not really into the breeding thing guys, it just happened that when i supposedly bought 2 small male balloon mollys one turned out female and got prego. im trying to give them a good chance because i dont want the fry to just ge eaten, they deserve a chance and im trying to provide them that by using what i have at hand. i do not have another tank to place them in and about the only thing i can do is buy plants (which is what i am trying to do because that was part of my plan) to provide cover, i also have micro sword, an roman ruin occupies by a stripped raph cat fish and 3 amazon swords, im trying to get more micro sword and melon swords as well as ludwigia.

i did not do this deliberalty i honestly thought i was buying 2 males to avoid this problem, and since thay have grown up im stuck with them.

she looks like that. but with a tube. is the statues ok? if they get dry they turn white, but if in water they turn grey and when i put them in water for the first time they lost their presumbly fake brown color and turned gray. my dad says its suppodsed to do that, so i put in my tank water in the testing bowl and after 24hrs will test to see any differences, if nothing happens then ill put them in as she looks like dropping soon.


and her body looks like an upside down rounded out trapezoid as well

if the tube is out she is DEFINITELY pregnant and ready to give birth any time

she was really still about a few hours ago and i forgot to mention this but i kinda saw a dark patch above her rump. since balloon mollys are non semi transparent fish, the spot would be less noticable correct? cuz i just noticed now and it is slightly darker than the resst of the fish.

I find that even a molly that is light in color does not show the colored gravid spot like you might see in a guppy. When I took this picture, my girl was less than a day away from her next drop. The fry you see with her are hers from her prior drop.

yeah, its really faint though

and good news she started swaying alittle! and she is hanging around the stones alot more, so im guessing she knows they are there for the fry.
