Theres a few good deals to be had if you shop around. And your price drops dramatically if you buy a good quality second hand setup.

Rena make good tanks, but their larger filters are a bit iffy at times. The XP1,2,3 are good, but XP4 can break itself with it's motor torque.... Otherwise all good tanks

£590 sounds good to me as bowfront Rena, but I find prices vary by location, so try shopping arround the arious LFS's and on-line dealers in your area to see if a better deal is to be had.

I haven't yet bought a bowfront, so can't realy comment on what they are like from an experience point of view, though mty display at work seams OK not the filter has been swaped out...(it's an Aqua-one with in-hood filtration, which isn't a tank I would personally buy....)
