Nice,

Ryukins get Huuuuuuuuuuuge in ponds and look Amazing. (Hope my Ranchus/Lionheads do as good)

I tried some BubbleEyes outdoors one year and they got massive - Over 6 Inches ( when i had the 8ft pond.)

You have just inspired me to get some for my coldwater tank :) Probably take a trip to the LFS later this evening to get some.

Joshy, they do. They spend a few months in winter inside now, however.

Gill, oh yeah! The first girl is the oldest pond resident, from my first goldie purchase about two years ago. I can't wait for my lemon to get as big as her. ^^ Of course, they're cute when they're little tiny also. ^^

JamieBailie, you won't be disappointed. Ryukins are my favorite after Tosakins (which I don't even own, lol).

Lovely goldfish you have there, although i have to say that it is not really adviseable to handle fish as you can easily damage their protective slime coat (plus being taken out of water is quite stressful for them), its better to just net them out and put them in a tank of water if you want to take pics of them from the side etc  .

Omg! I was just struck speachless. Those goldfish are very beautiful!! I especially love the third one.
I have always wanted a pond of goldfish or kio, but I can't yet. I have to wait until I move out and get a house of my very own, years from now.
I am going to visit Japan next year and I really want to see the Japanese ponds.
I cannot wait! ^_^

Paul, thanks.

Tokis-Phoenix, that’s nice. Somehow, I think walking inside through the house to the other end of the structure, then all the way down the stairs and plopping them in water that is different than their pond water, and leaving them in there while I try and get a good shot of their moving body for about a half hour is a tiny bit more stressful than pulling them out of the water to do a quick exam, and snap some photos that takes about 10-15 seconds per shot plus the exam.

Ray Ray, congrats! I'd love to go to Japan, you'll have to take lots of photos for me! I'd love a koi pond myself.

Yeah, I think that'd be a little more diffcult on you and your fish. XD And I'm pretty sure I've read that if Styx wets his hands before handling the fish for a few seconds, their slime coats will be okay. And outside, flashes from cameras won't blind them (I don't think so) because it's light enough outside?

And yes, I'll give you lots of photos because I'm camera crazy and I plan and taking a lot. ^^ Japan is one of the most beautiful countries ever. I saw a koi pond out Maui while on vacation, and ever since I've wanted to see a Japanese one. So pretty. ^^

BTW, your pictures make me want a goldfish again, which I can't have because my tank's too small. x_X haha.

Ray Ray, see, you got it. I actually put "stess coat" on my hands, that's why they look kind of slimey in the photos. Yes, and outside, I don't even have to use the flash, so it's turned off.

D: I wanna go to Japan. Some day! SOME DAY I will. I have a bunch of Japanese friends, so I get to hear about it from them. One of them is half Japanese and he lives in Hawaii, speaking of Maui. He used to breed dart frogs for a living.

Yeah. ^_^ I don't lack all knowledge on fish keeping hehe.
And yeah, I opened a letter from People to People, expecting it to be another country I didn't want to go to, but when it said Japan, my stomach got all full of butterflies and I was dumbfounded haha. I couldn't believe that I can actually go. And Hawaii is very beautiful, they had a few pretty ponds, but I'm really excited to see the Japanese gardens and ponds. They are so pretty. x.x

Anyways, I actually really liked your goldfish so I started sketching/drawing them. ^^;; I thought they were very stunning. I finished the first one but I am terrible at scales. ._. I won't be surprised if I have a huge tank and pond when I get older. My parents think fish are just a waste of money. They also think goldfish are nasty, but I love them. Also, I think they are very beautiful creatures and I hate the way they are treated in the stores. When I brought my Betta home in her cup it was disgusting.
