Goldfish Starter Kit.....

starting a one man campaign against the marketing. they are being sold because they make a quick buck from them even though they claim to want to be a 'leading authority in pet healthcare.' this is a cry for help from a very upset person! clearly not a goldfish starter kit, but maybe a goldfish killer kit. if enough people show distaste then they will stop selling them for fear of a tarnished reputation. help!

can you really report them for this? i thought it would all be ok with them with it being such a large company. it aggrivates me that the claim to be a leading authority on pet healthcare and do this! ive seen 5litre ones in another shop marketed as goldfish bowls too. its disgusts me!

i don't think we'll ever stop them selling these things by sending them angry letters.
it does annoy me that the "kit" does not contain water conditioner at LEAST.

i think the best way to change pets at home is from the inside, get a job there, work your way up to manager and then put your foot down!

sadly even some of the best stores sell these sorts of kits, they have to make money somehow and this is one fo the best money spinners

vote with your wallet, walk in somewhere and see them on display and tell them you won't eb shopping ehre ebcause they stock them. don't think for a minute just 1 person doing this will make a difference but if half they're customers came in one day and said it they'd think twice.

You can make them not recommend goldfish for the tanks as there to small, this is where the rspca could help.

rspca it is then. it makes me sick to think of people keeping them in tiny bowls. 10 years... if you dont mind me asking, how big did you fish get in this time. should have been nearing 30 - 40cm at least.

Eeek. I probably sound like a monster but I actually bought one of those a few days ago for my friends goldfish. The poor thing was getting bullied and there were no visible signs of illness. Plus my hospital tank is being used for guppy and Endler fry.
