I think having the lights on a timer will be a good idea however maybe having them on for only 4-5 hours a day may be better. 
 
Not having them on at all would be silly seeing as you're going to double dose your ferts but having them on for a little less than usual could make what you've dosed last a little longer with no effect on your plants
