I got some of these once but i never seen them glowing :-( do some of them just not glow or is there something you have to do to get them to glow?

If you are asking "why do they not fluoresce?", then the answer is "because “glow” only describes the colour, the species does not fluoresce".

If you are asking "why is their colour poor?", then the answer is "because something in their environment is poor", and the steps you can take are to improve their environment and quality of food.

They don't glow, but they do have a fantastic neon orange/red stripe on their bodies. Perhaps yours haven't got this because they are juveniles, young Glowlight Tetras are very bland and silvery. How big are your Glowlight Tetras?

It could be your lighting. Mine were very bland until I moved some plants around to make sure the light could get through. It made a big difference. It seems they need lighting from the right direction.
