There are two types of glofish tetras: regular and longfin. Since you have to get a school of these fish (6-7), would both types of tetras mix in the same school?

If they are the same species of fish, then yes you can mix long and short finned varieties.

Yes I've found my harlequins and cherry barbs schooling with my diamond neons also

As long as theyre both the tetra glofish, yes they are the same species and will mix well. You can even get the white skirt and black skirt tetras with them, theyre same species too. Just not glofish. The black skirt is the original look of them. The white skirt is the leucistic form of the black skirt. And then the glofish is a GMO white skirt

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the longfin variety was some type of different species. Good to know.
