Glass Hood.

I came across a plane of glass that i could have trimed to make a glass hood. i put it on the tank just to see. and of course it gets fogged up. is there a way to keep this from happening?

only way to stop it would be to get an anti steam piece of glass like a mirror you use in the shower and im not sure thats even possible.


i use a piece of perspex on one of my tanks and it does the same. always steams up because of the condensation.

its ok. once the glass heated up a little from the light the fog went away. after about 10 mins. lol. maybe i should wait a bit before posting next time. lol

Actually, having it like that could probably help out in a corydoras tank or a betta breeding tank... As water condenses on the hood it all drops back COOLER water into the tank.. therefore mimicking rain for corydoras and the spring time for bettas to breed

Need to leave a little air space/gap at either end or better yet drill some holes in it.
