Giant Peppermint Shrimps

At last i have managed to find some peppermint shrimps to help with my aiptasia problem. The only problem is they are giant. I have asked someone i know and he says they only get to the same size as the cleaner shrimps but arent as good at eating aiptasia. I can find very little on the internet.
I have reserved both of them to collect later on today but am a little worried they will not do there job. Hoping someone (expert) will help me out with a reply.

I think you bought wot i bought, they are called camel shrimp or dancing shrimp very much like peppermints but arent lol. They are still reef safe and i wldnt worry if ur gunna leave them in there. Best get joes juice for the aiptasia issue, works a treat and can rid them in a week just got to go rnd hunting for them.

Yeah, peppermint shrimp do NOT get much bigger than 1", but their close looking relatives the camel shrimp do get big. If you want the aiptasia gone, dont buy the "giant" shrimp.

i went to have a look at them and they were definately peppermint shrimps so i thought i would give them a go. My only other option is to strip the tank which i am loathed to do.
