Giant Hog Killed

Worked fine for me earlier, must be a problem now... :dunno:

The link points out that on the site are a number of pictures showing wrong things. One is a picture of all the "hunters" behind the hog.

It shows two pictures of the boy supposedly just behind the hog. If the hog is as large as is said, the boy's head close to trebles in size due to him really being a different distance behind the hog in each pic:

Seriously, look at the difference in the size of the head in each photo...

One picture has the pistol used which, if we are to believe the size of the hog, is about 2 feet long.

Remember the kid was shooting with a pistol. If the sizes are to be believed, think how huge that pistol must be...

Certainly doesn't look as big in this pic:

Which is probably why it doesn't feature as strongly on the main part of the site...

This is just one big photoshop and trick photography hoax.

Yes, as I said in my post, the SJ site is down, but it's worth remembering the link because it was really worth a read, try it again some time.

It does say on their website that the boy was kneeling about 7 feet behind the pig in the first photo and was sitting on the ground right behind the pig in the second which could explain the difference in his image sizes. Also, according to the Smith & Wesson website, the gun has a 10.5" barrel and is 18" in length overall so that somewhat makes sense in judging the size of the pig. The thing about the two photos with the 4 people in them that doesn't make sense is that other than the boy, the position of the men does not change at all even through someone supposedly removing the gun from the photo.

Another difference in the 2 photos of the boy and the pig is the bark on the tree. The first one shows the broken bark that comes all the way down to the pig. In the second photo the tree is smooth just over the boy's left shoulder and looks as if something was air-brushed out.

All of this may very well be legit but there sure are a lot of things that don't add up.

I can't wrap my mind around the people making death threats against this kid for killing a pig  Good gravy, whatta world.

Anyway, I saw a different pic on the news last night and it was a bunch of them sitting around the hog with their arms on him and he looked pretty darn big to me. I'll see if I can find it.

Well the truth is now out. The monster pig appears to not be a hoax...but, it was a tame pig named Fred, raised on a farm in Alabama and sold just 4 days earlier to a 150 acre fenced, hunting plantation. So in my opinion, it's even worse than a hoax. What chance did a tame pig have? They probably were able to walk right up to it and shot it the first time. Here is the story.
