Ghost Shrimp or otos

what should I get? Im worried about the ghost shrimp with the betta. what are youre thoughts

It depends on how aggressive your betta is and how much they like the taste of ghost shrimp I had 2 living with my betta a while ago and they lived to together fine. My friend had 1 for her betta but the betta ate it so it just really depends.

What size tank? If your betta is territorial then he will beat up either (mine beat up a cory) But if you move the stuff around in the tank you should be ok. If you have a small tank get ghost shrimp. If you have a larger tank get otos. Otos should really be kept in 3 or more. If you have algae problems get otos If there is extra food scraps, get ghost shrimp If your betta is large thAN NO GHOST SHRIMP, THEY HAVE A VERY STRONG BITE. yOUR BETTA MIGHT BE PEACEFUL THO, i DON'T KNOW. gET A GHOST SHRIMP ANd (stupid capslock) see what he does. If he beats it up than you shouldn't get ghost shrimp. If you have a 2.5 to 5 gallon you should be fine with otos

I would go with ottos. I think they are interesting little fish, whereas i'm personally not a big shrimp fan (their like aquatic bugs to me).

i would say dont put with the betta i tried this with three ghost shrimp and within ten seconds mr betta ate them all

I think the trick is to get the ghost shrimp at a larger size. I have 3 ghost shrimp with my betta in a 15 gallon and there are no problems.

The ghost shrimp are incredible cleaners for both algae and leftover foods and decaying plant matter. I highly recommend them. I also consider them aquatic bugs, and that's what I like about them - I already have fish in the tank, the shrimp offer a bit of different variety.

However, if you have plants with more delicate leaves the shrimp will munch right through them.

I have a shrimp that's bigger than my fish but won't eat them. I love that bamboo shrimp.

I can tell you the ghost shrimp make a nice snack for oscars. I just watched mine devour some ghost shrimps.
