should i remove the ghost shrimp from the container the babies are in? ive never bred them and have 4 pregnant ones in a jar. well dumb me, i saw a bunch of "junk" floating around and sucked it outa there. after realizing 2 arent pregnant anymore i saw the little guys swimming around. do i need to be worried about them eating the babies?

Ghost shrimp babies wont survive unless they have salt. They need to be raised in a brakish tank. I dont know much more on this subject so just have alook on google.

Do you know what species they are? Some Palaemonetes spp. require brackish/marine conditions to develop and some do not. I can confirm that P. paludosus is a freshwater breeder.

To answer your original question, I wouldn't worry. I had ghosts in with my cherries and they never ate any babies, as far as I could see.

I have people say that they have seen the parents eat the babies, to be safe i would take out the adults .. thats my 2 cents
