Ghost knifes get large 50cm+ and grow to as old as 50years i hear, thats why there the slowest growing fish out there. But when it gets larger it will eat your other fish, but relax thats about 10 years away

PS: Never ever put 2 ghosts in the same tank, they fught to there death witch doesnt take that long.

u shout at me and my friend for having a bgk and a oscar ina 15+ gal but u just give him advice wich is wat we wanted. a 20 gal isnt much different to a 15=gal u know.

My oscars ate my 6 inch BGK

Thanks fmz. The barbs are 3", bgk is a little under 3". Do you think that we still should not put bgk with the barbs?

I wouldn't recommend putting in the BGK with them. If you really want to, make sure you give your BGK a lot of places to hide and also make sure you have like 6 barbs so they chase each other all day and not pay attention to BGK

ghost knifes slow? dude, there one of the fastest fish out there by far, ever seen them snap at somthing, im not kidding you here, but if you were to blink you would miss it. its the fastest fish i have seen in the fresh water side.

i'm wondering why in all your pics of fish and your list you don't have your bgk? i looked at your tank pics...nice tanks..but no wonder you need a tube...there is no other place for the bgk.
