Getting Romeo To Flare

Leave the poor guy alone. I regard the mirror trick as being similar to banging on the glass to watch a fish dart around. It may make you feel better and put on a show for your friends but it is really not good for the fish's health. Bettas flare enough without being provoked. Mine all live to a ripe old age of well over 5 years with no such thing going on in their tanks. Think about how often you see a RIP post here with people who tell each other how to make their betta flare. Sorry folks but this is one of my pet peeves.
