Getting A Helix 5w Uv Sterilizer

I have a bio-wheel filter. Since im not using an external filter, where is the best place for this to go to get maximum effectiveness and not harm benificial bacteria for the bio-wheel.

I run a 9W UV on a freshwater planted tank. I run it 24/7 with absolutely no problems. Plants grow like mad and it WILL NOT affect your bio-wheel. I run mine on the output from a Fluval 204. If your using a HOB filter you will need to get some type of powerhead to run water through the UV. Placement of the powerhead does not matter too much as long as there is decent flow around it and it's not blocked up by plants.
