I went to this store today, that had the largest selection of fish I have ever seen, and they had two tanks full of "German Rams". They looked identical to Bolivian Rams, except they had one tank full of fish that are about 5 inches long and 3 inches high. I figured they misslabeled them, but in another tank they had Bolivian Rams. Anyone know if they are the same?

They definately were not Rams if they were 5 inches long. Rams are dwarfs basically and no dwarf is 5 inches. I have no idea what they could have been though. Its probably not the store's fault a lot of distributors mislabel fish when they send out their lists to stores.

probably some Geophagus species :)

If given adequate Conditions, some 'Dwarf' Rams do have the potential to reach 5 inches.

I'm not saying that 'German Blue' isn't mislabelled, but rather that they COULD have been Bolivians

yeah, they were the size of small sunfish. They were definatly "Ram" species. Looked Identical to Bolivians, maybe a bit more red.

I would consider my male dutch ram to be a "Jumbo" ram as hes 3" long now, i dont think hes gonna get any bigger either... hes almost twice the size of his missus...
