Gasping At Top Ov Water!

as some mite ov read from my thread (converted my fish tank) i cahnged my tank over i changed the gravel and added rocks so tock half tank water out! that was yesterday! and the fish ware find after but now woke up and they all gasping at the top ov the water?!

please can someone help!! really worried!

nitrite 0.1 or lower
nitrat 5 or lower
ph 8( still getting it to rise to 8.5)

cant test my ammonia lost my card!

PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP! i have put in a extra air stone to help with the air in the water???

try putting in the air stone it might be that there's not enough oxygen

air stone worked :0 all the fish swiiming round niceley now!!! got scared! thing is my tank is in my bed room and its loud with the bubbles lol! can i put a timer on the pump to come on in the day and off at night! or does it have to run 24/7?

The nitrite reading indicates a tank with a cycling problem. Nitrite inhibit's a fish's blood from properly processing O2. By increasing aeration you increased the O2 level compensating for the nitrite that is present.

I would leave it running 24/7 until you resolve the cycling problem.
