What fish are you talking about, Most fish have there entire heads covered in tastebuds and tastebuds running down there LL's all the way to the tail so that they can find food.

Not a subject i am entirely knowledgable about but i would say that fish (or any marine animal) would have its number 1 priority on aquiring food and 2nd to aviod being food So sight, vibration and taste/smell would be high on this list of "tuned" marine components
